Even if we don't use a "Superstars" name, we make up our own name, damn near using hieroglyphics to spell the damn name.... we use phonetic spellings, we use accent marks like they are on sale 2 for 1... It can be so ugly!!! I.e. Appreciante', I told you it can get ugly!! and there are many, many more.... I've even met women who named their daughters after themselves and gave the daughter Jr. to add to her name, what kind of backward ass SHYT is that????

I also thank the Lord above that the child is simply gorgeous. I remember going to hi skool with a kid named Chaka -- and he was just bugly. Inevitably everyone just started calling him Chaka Zulu.

I have a name: Starsha and Nuk-Nuk (pronounced Nook-Nook), however what is wrong with us having our own identity and names for our children? People look at their babies and just know what to name them. At least for me looking into the eyes of my boys at birth told me their names would be: Kalen and Trevonte. They never say there names with love, maybe because they are so damn long and make no sense. There is a difference between using a name from a different land or culture than just creating syllables and consonants and vowels thrown together. I hate when a child is named a "ghetto" name, then you turn around and call him or her "Boo or Lil'Man" Cut that shiite out! You are condemning them to a life of ridicule. Please remember that they have to live a life outside of your little world. Don't humiliate them. Here is a fact that many are not aware of. Did you know that employers are sifting through resumes and eliminating applicants because of their name. Here is a new form of racism/namism. I think parents are screwing over their children when they give them ghetto names. Employers are going to take one look at the name on your child's application and toss it right in the trash. When I have kids I plan to give them neutral names also. It is just really sad that the black race is so backwards and will continue to go backwards. As time goes by, we must remember that names that we call ghetto will be the same name that will be running the country if it is The Lord's will, there is a country. By the way, my name is Quentelle (Quin Tell) Tornika (Tor Neka). I have a brother named Quintin Torell and one named Shaquill, and my sister's name is Jamessykah (Ja Messy Kah). Some of the names that others may consider ghetto has meaning for others, i.e u all say Quendrick is ghetto but to mu husband Rodrick and I it is the two of us together, that is if we are having another boy. Roquell which I say on here spelled Rockell means precious in Africa. Now some are outlandish and I agree. But what if someone decided to in which there probably is a web site that says the top slave names, or slave master names. Like Toby, or Aaron, or Peter, or John, and those are actually biblical.
